Peace Be Still

This collection was born from a personal journey—a challenge to embrace and understand my evolving relationship with my body after being diagnosed with PCOS. Struggling with the tension between wanting to be comfortable and still express my femininity, I found solace in oversized menswear, looser silhouettes, and loungewear that provided a sense of protection and ease. I began to explore how the body changes over time, how fabric can both hide and reveal, and how clothing can offer both physical and emotional comfort in the face of uncertainty.
The pieces in this collection are rooted in the exploration of comfort and androgyny—blending masculine and feminine elements to create a dialogue between strength and softness. The excess fabric in these designs is not just about volume; it is about protection. It is about hiding, but also about the freedom to exist without restriction. The body, no matter how buried under layers or bulky shapes, always finds a way to assert itself—whether it’s through the curve of the neck, the strength of the shoulders, or the subtle line of the waist. I wanted to explore this tension—the way women’s bodies find their power even within the most minimal, oversized, and seemingly "inappropriate" garments.
Inspired by my personal experiences and reflections, particularly through the lens of spirituality and introspection, the collection nods to a passage from Mark 4:39, which speaks to finding peace amidst chaos: “Peace, be still.” This verse became a metaphor for my journey toward inner calm, self-acceptance, and reconnection with both my individuality and sisterhood. I imagined the collection as a visual manifestation of this peace—how clothing, like a protective layer, can bring a sense of stillness, comfort, and personal space.
The tension between leisure and formality, masculinity and femininity, roughness and softness is reflected in this work. I wanted to create a collection that challenges conventional ideas about what is appropriate, particularly for women, and instead offers a more fluid, liberated approach to style. Leisurewear, traditionally associated with relaxation, becomes a form of empowerment—something you can wear from day to night, wherever you are, however you feel.
This collection is about reclaiming comfort and control in a world that often expects us to conform. It’s about honoring the body in all its forms, and about embracing the beauty and power found in the balance between masculinity and femininity, roughness and sweetness. It is a tribute to finding peace in your own skin and the strength to wear it proudly, no matter how the world perceives it.
